Two Door Cinema Club will make their new single ‘Sleep Alone‘ available to fans as a free download for 24 hours after it receives its premiere on UK radio this evening.
The track is the first taste of new material from the Northern Irish band’s forthcoming ‘Beacon‘ album, and will be unveiled on BBC Radio 1 at 7.30pm today (July 19th). It will then be available for free for one day only via their official website.
A digital release is due to follow on July 21st, with a physical, 7″ edition set for September 3rd – the same day as the album’s issue date.
“‘Beacon’ is a much more intimate record than our first, but at the same time, it’s much bigger and more inclusive,” frontman Alex Trimble has said of their imminent record, the follow-up to 2010’s debut ‘Tourist History’.
“Trying to find that balance has been our goal for a long time and this record takes us one step closer to the band we’ve dreamed of becoming.”
