The track will be premiered on radio on July 10th, with the album set to follow at an as-yet-unconfirmed date later this year.

‘Battle Born’ will be The Killers’ first album since the band announced the end of a lengthy hiatus which began after the completion of promotional duties for their 2008 record ‘Day and Age‘.

Since then, frontman Brandon Flowers and drummer Ronnie Vanucci have released their own solo records, with Flowers’ ‘Flamingo‘ hitting number one in the UK back in September 2010.

As well as ‘Runaways’, other song titles already confirmed for ‘Battle Born’ include ‘Heart Of a Girl‘, ‘Flesh and Bone‘ and ‘Carry Me Home‘. According to reports, The Killers worked with a number of producers during the album’s recording sessions, including Steve Lillywhite and Madonna cohort Stuart Price.
