lonerismTame Impala have released the artwork (left) and tracklist for their new album ‘Lonerism‘.

The follow-up to 2010’s critically-lauded ‘Innerspeaker‘ is due to hit the shelves later this year, and will comprise 12 new tracks. Members of Tame Impala have spent time on various side projects since ‘Innerspeaker’s release, including forming Pond.

Drummer Jay Watson recently told NME the new band will sit comfortably along side their main project. “I don’t see any reason why we can’t co-exist, we’ve been doing it for years anyway,” he said. “We’re both really different bands.”

Tame Impala, who are led principally by Kevin Parker, are due to support their new record with three UK tour dates beginning at the end of October. The first will arrive at the Brixton Academy on the 30th, with stops at the Manchester HMV Ritz and Sheffield Leadmill also due on the 1st and 2nd of November respectively.
