Fleetwood Mac are planning on touring again next year, according to Stevie Nicks.
Nicks was speaking to the US television station CBS, and when asked whether Fleetwood Mac might tour again she replied, ‘Next year’ before adding:
“It’s the plan. Because that’s what we do. I do my thing. And Lindsey is out doing his thing now. Everybody’s on board.”
Stevie Nicks’ comments suggest a sharp change of plans for the veteran band after their drummer Mick Fleetwood had earlier stated his belief that they would ‘never tour again’ when speaking to Playboy last March following a series of false starts since 2010.
“I don’t believe Fleetwood Mac will ever tour again, but I really hope we do,” he said. “We have rehearsed it and prepared for it since 2010. We were supposed to tour in 2011, but we delayed it for a year to allow Stevie Nicks to support her solo record and for Lindsey Buckingham to do the same with his.”
