Classic singles from the likes of Oasis, The Beatles and Queen have been named on a shortlist which aims to find the UK’s favourite number one of the last 60 years.

Music fans were asked to vote for their favourite single by the Official Charts Company, and the top 10 tracks polled have now been revealed, with Oasis’ 1996 single ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger‘ and The Beatles’ ‘Hey Jude‘ amongst those included.

Also named on the list are John Lennon‘s ‘Imagine‘ and Queen‘s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody‘ – the two singles which placed first and second respectively on a similar poll conducted by Channel 4 back in 2000.

The winner will be announced later this summer, and you can cast a vote for your favourite at this link.
