Noel Gallagher has insisted he will never perform on same bill as his brother Liam as the pair gear up for appearances at the Fuji Rock festival in Japan this weekend.

The estranged siblings will be in Japan with their respective new ventures following Oasis‘ split almost three years ago, but Noel has apparently explained that, despite them being at the same festival, ‘neither camp would allow’ his High Flying Birds and Beady Eye to appear together on the same day.

“I don’t think either camp would allow it,” he is quoted as saying in The Sun newspaper. “What happens if we’re on the same bill? People start asking if we’re reforming, that’s what. Or they’ll ask if we’re going to get on stage together and sing Digsy’s fucking Dinner.”

“I don’t need that and I doubt he does either. I’d rather avoid it all together, thank you.”

Beady Eye will play immediately before The Stone Roses at Fuji Rock on Friday, July 27th, with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds headlining on the Saturday.
