New Beatles compilation ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’ released on iTunes

beatles1A new compilation which claims to bring together some of The Beatles‘ ‘most powerful rock songs’ has been released exclusively to iTunes today (July 24th).

Entitled ‘Tomorrow Never Knows‘, the collection contains 14 tracks from the Fab Four’s back catalogue, and is led off by the single version of ‘Revolution‘, which backed ‘Hey Jude‘ in 1968.

Also included are the likes of ‘And Your Bird Can Sing‘, ‘She Said She Said‘ and the compilation’s title-track, all from 1966’s classic ‘Revolver‘ album, while ‘Hey Bulldog‘, taken from the ‘Yellow Submarine‘ soundtrack LP, has been made available as a free download.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has written a covering letter to mark the special release, which hails The Beatles’ influence on his own career.

“If it weren’t for The Beatles, I would not be a musician,” he has said. “The Beatles seemed to be capable of anything. They knew no boundaries, and in that freedom they seemed to define what we now know today as ‘Rock and Roll.'”
