“Following their recent success getting to number one in Amazon’s Hot New Releases Chart, Weatherbird release their 2nd single “Give It All To Me” on End Of The Trail Records. Weatherbird are quickly becoming the best unsigned band in Britain with sold out live shows all around the country. The band take their influences from such bands as The Pixies, Queens Of The Stone Age + Oasis. The band have only just turned 18. The future looks bright.”

“There’s a violence to the countryside, encapsulated in the sumptuous prose of D.H Lawrence’s in which metaphors engorge and heighten into states of pure ecstasy. A fantastic and virulent strain of writing which, thanks to Marika Hackman, now exists in song. Double A-Side ‘You Come Down’ and ‘Mountain Spines’ produced by Johnny Flynn and Adam Beach from the Sussex Wit will be released September 3rd through Transgressive imprint paradYse (Theme Park, Cold Specks) on limited 7” and digital download. Marika will also be playing a single launch show on Tuesday, September 4th at London Servant Jazz Quarters.”

Correatown is the musical project of Angela Correa, an LA based artist whose latest album Pleiades – released on Highline Records on August 27th – seems destined to soundtrack the ensuing summer months. Lead single Further sets the tone, it’s tinkling piano intro and spacious drums building to a euphoric chorus, evoking a sun-kissed warmth, sense of optimism and panoramic blues skies captured in the song’s accompanying video.”

Scarlett Parade is a duo hailing from the Isle of Man, the tiny island located in the Irish Sea between Liverpool and Belfast. Formed in early 2011, members Adam Jones and Geoffrey Tinkler, both 24, have a strong songwriting partnership that is designed to showcase their strengths, not only as songwriters, but multi-instrumentalists also.”

Crushed Beaks have released a video for their new single ‘Grim’. The single is out now digitally via Paint It Black. The Jonny Sanders-directed clip highlights the band’s adoration for the golden era of 70’s and 80’s Italian horror cinema. Along with their warped-out, pixilated artwork for both of their recent singles, ‘Grim’s video emphasizes the band’s obsession with horror cinema, combining the shotgun-pop speed of the track with a dazzling array of surrealist and terrifying imagery.”

“Far from wide eyed rookies embarking on their first forage into the music industry jungle, this foursome boast an impressive array of experience. Front man James Howlett has been something of a mainstay on the London music scene over the past years, gaining an admirable reputation for work with Dave Pemberton and Kinobe, as well as writing and performing a touching track titled ‘ The One’ featured on a film to mark the anniversary of 9/11/. Howlett teamed up with guitarist Richard Costello as an acoustic duo before uniting with former band mate Tim McNicol and long time friend Ben Clark to form Stellify, a band of rock ‘n’ roll revivalists who promise to carry the mantle left behind by the likes of The Stones and The Beatles.”

“Communion Records are pleased to announce that Irish singer-songwriter Foy Vance will release his new ‘Melrose EP’ on the 27th August via Communion. The ‘Melrose EP’ is a collaboration between Foy and acclaimed producer, David Holmes and is the score for Terry George’s Academy Award winning film ‘The Shore’. This is Foy’s first body of new material in a handful of years, and will be followed by the release of his album in early 2013.”

The Fallows are Ross Darby, Pete Rutherford, Sam Stokes and Neal Pointon who all hail from Coventry/Nuneaton. We play footstompin indie/folk music but with a real rock attitude. The band started with Ross and Pete getting together to perform at open mic nights after playing together in various bands as they were growing up. Their folky sound was well received and excited by the potential of the music being created, Sam joined the band on the bass. Gigs started to come thick and fast and a highlight was being asked to go to Dublin to play on Balcony TV. The guys still felt something was missing from the overall sound but luckily help came in the form of Neal, who is BBC Young Folk Awards Finalist and All Britain Champion on fiddle and mandolin. He completed the line up in early 2011.”

Black Strobe released EP Boogie in Zero Gravity, the third and strongest in a series of EP releases this year on Black Strobe Records. Black Strobe, a phrase which aptly calls to mind a darker envisioning of airy, superficial dance music, is spearheaded by prolific musician Arnaud Rebotini. The EP builds off Rebotini’s record as a pioneering artist in the genre of post-apocalyptic electronica, as well as his 2007 foray into blues-rock with the acclaimed LP Burn Your Own Church.”
