The full details surrounding the expanded edition of the Sex Pistols‘ landmark debut album ‘Never Mind The Bollocks…Here’s The Sex Pistols‘ have been revealed today after the legendary punk band signed a new deal with Universal earlier this year ahead of the record’s 35th anniversary.

“Music can be great, when done by the great,” John Lydon said when the deal was confirmed back in February. “The Sex Pistols are the greatest. Universal now has a trophy room, music is the imitation of nature, the Sex Pistols are nature, so please give generously. Thank you.”

“To be given the opportunity to re-evaluate the Sex Pistols catalogue is every music lover’s dream,” Karen Simmonds of Universal added. “We’re looking forward to working with the band and celebrating their impact on worldwide culture.”

And now Universal have confirmed the 3CD box-set will be released on September 24th, with original master tapes, rare demos and outtakes and live recordings all set for inclusion on the special re-issue.

In addition, handwritten lyrics for ‘God Save The Queen‘ – as well as a replica of the withdrawn A&M edition single – a promo poster and stickers, and a 100 page 1977 Diary featuring rare and previously unseen photos will also be available, while a DVD entitled ‘Live 1977‘, produced by Julien Temple, also comes with the package.
