Coldplay, The Black Keys, Jack White nominated for 2012 MTV Video Music Awards

Coldplay, The Black Keys and Jack White will go head-to-head in the Best Rock Video category at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, whose full list of nominees has been announced today.

Coldplay are nominated in the Best Rock category for their UK number single ‘Paradise‘, while The Black Keys’ promo for ‘Lonely Boy‘, the lead off single from their 2011 ‘El Camino‘ album, and Jack White’s ‘Sixteen Saltines‘ are also up for the award along with Linkin Park and Imagine Dragons.

Coldplay also have nominations in the Best Cinematography and Best Direction categories, both thanks to their single ‘Princess Of China‘, which includes a guest contribution from popstar Rihanna.
