Aerosmith have been forced to cancel a show in Virginia tonight after the band’s frontman Steven Tyler apparently fell ill.

A message posted on Aerosmith’s official Facebook page today (July 3rd) advises fans that Tyler is under orders to engage in some ‘vocal rest’, meaning the band will now perform at Jiffy Lube Live on August 12th as part of their Global Warming Tour.

“The Aerosmith Concert on July 3rd at Jiffy Lube Live Has Been Rescheduled for August 12th,” the statement reads. “Steven Tyler is under doctor’s orders to refrain from performing to provide vocal rest. The concert will now take place on August 12th.”

“Aerosmith regrets any inconvenience and looks forward to returning to Jiffy Lube Live. Tickets purchased for the July 3rd show will be honored on the August 12th date.”

“For additional tour and ticket information, please visit www.livenation.com or www.aeroforceone.com.”

Aerosmith will release the new album ‘Music From Another Dimension‘ – their first studio effort in nine years – on November 6th.
