Retailers unhappy with Mumford & Sons, Muse, The Killers September releases

High street retailers HMV have criticised the raft of big-name album releases scheduled for this coming September, when the likes of The Killers, Muse and Mumford & Sons are all due to release new records.

Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band guitarist Steve Van Zandt were the surprise guests at a special concert held over the weekend in remembrance of the 77 people killed by Anders Behring Breivik in Norway last year.

E Street Band guitarist Steve Van Zandt has apologised for comments he made on Twitter not long after Bruce Springsteen‘s Hard Rock Calling headline appearance in London’s Hyde Park was aborted by organisers.

Ownership of Bob Dylan’s ’65 Newport Folk festival guitar in dispute

The whereabouts of the guitar which Bob Dylan famously, and controversially, used to ‘go electric’ at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival is under dispute after a resident of New Jersey claimed ownership of the iconic instrument which, if proved correct, could sell for more than $1m at auction according to experts.
