Viva Brother have apparently re-launched themselves as a synth-led pop band just a few months after announcing their split.

The new band, going by the name of Lovelife, have posted three new, synth-pop inspired tracks online, which are a far cry from the generic Britpop of their Brother days. They have also launched an official website which has the band being based in Brooklyn, New York, and have a number of gigs booked for this month.

Although it is unclear how many former members of Viva Brother are involved in the new project, the band’s frontman Lee Newell is pictured in new promo shots.

Viva Brother created headlines in the build-up to the release of their debut album ‘Famous First Words‘ thanks to their outspoken interviews and confident predictions of superstardom, but split up in April after the album received a fiercely negative response from critics.

Prior to their stint as Viva Brother, the band had previously dabbled with the emo world under the banners of Kill The Arcade and Wolf I Am.
