Review: The Darkness – ‘Everybody Have a Good Time’

Returning from the depths of time and Suffolk, it’s been hard to miss The Darkness thus far in 2012.

A skit of their very own on Funny Or Die, touring jaunts back and forth across the pond, the ‘Hot Cakes‘ record announced and now another raucous, ballsy single to follow the bicycle-obsessed ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us‘ and the salacious ‘Every Inch of You‘.

The Flaming Lips break world record for most gigs in 24 hours

The Flaming Lips have broken Jay-Z‘s world record for the most gigs performed in multiple cities in a 24 hour period after a mammoth run of shows was completed yesterday (June 28th) in New Orleans.

Review: Muse – ‘Survival’

Putting whatever personal opinions you have of Muse to one side just for one brief moment, it would be difficult for anyone to accuse them of being mundane.

Since their inception Matt Bellamy and co. have steadily evolved from vehement searing guitar rock and roll in breakthrough showstopper ‘Origin of Symmetry’, lurching ever closer to mellower and more radio friendly waters right up until 2009’s oddity ‘The Resistance’, never conforming merely to just one genre and splitting both critics and fans into two distinct camps along the way.

Beady Eye air new song, Oasis classics on live return

Beady Eye handed a brand new song its live debut and also performed two classic Oasis tracks as they warmed up for their weekend Stone Roses support slot with an intimate gig at the Warrington Parr Hall last night (June 28th). Watch videos here
