Muse are to debut their brand new single ‘Unsustainable‘ on BBC Radio 1 later today (June 27th).

The single is expected to give fans the first taste of new material from Muse’s forthcoming sixth studio album ‘The 2nd Law‘, and is set to be unveiled on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show at 7.30pm.

‘The 2nd Law’ is due for release in September, and was previewed with a video trailer earlier this month, which included background music that appeared to back up bassist Chris Wolstenholme‘s previous assertion that the band were aiming to do something ‘radically different’ with the record.

Muse will head out on a UK tour in support of the album this October, beginning at the Glasgow SECC on the 24th, with twin shows at the O2 Arena in London following on October 26th and 27th. Further stops in Birmingham and at the Manchester Arena on November 1st will close the UK leg.

The British dates are sandwiched in between a series of gigs on mainland Europe.

UPDATE: Muse have revealed the new track will be the official Olympics song. Read more here.
