“London 5-piece Born Blonde will release a brand new single ‘I Just Wanna Be’ on July 16th via Moriarty The Cat Records. Following the critically acclaimed ‘Solar’ and ‘Radio Bliss’ singles last year, ‘I Just Wanna Be’ is an absorbing space-rock anthem, where shimmering soundscapes meet disorientating histrionics. A blissful taste of what’s to come from their debut album set for release later this year.”

Laser Background is the alias of Philadelphia’s Andy Molholt, whose debut EP combines a delicious mixture of saccharine synths and slacker guitar riffs. The waltz-like pace of ‘Mystery Airplane Girl’ and ‘Pinwheels’ contrasts with the scuzzier, more frenetic kick of ‘Weird Conscience’ and ‘Ghostman on Second’. Each song provides a glorious candy-coated hit of psych exploration; as pop songs become anything but thanks to the blend of oddball instrumentation.”

Natur have garnered a distinct underground following via the release of their ‘Spider Baby’ 7″ and their European debut at the Live Evil festival in London alongside ANGEL WITCH and GHOST, as well as US appearances with the likes of HIGH ON FIRE.”

Nouela released her grand debut, Chants, last week on June 12th with The Control Group. Now she shares a new music video for “Fight”. Directed by Future Human Productions, the video was filmed in Washington featuring Nouela, herself and eight huskies.”

“Stubbornly committed to ignoring fleeting trends and general mainstream hackery, Dollface are on a crusade against the two things they find equally offensive: manufactured X-Factor pop and Camden/Shoreditch hipsters peddling lifeless indie.”

Joia’s debut EP ‘Match Light’ will be released for free download via the band’s Facebook page and on limited edition CD on 16th July. The release will be supported by live shows and a London launch event at the Bull & Gate on the 16th July itself. The video for lead track ‘Match Light’ was shot in London.”

“‘The Clearing’ is the third album by Bowerbirds, and is their most-accomplished to date. As is often the case for bands that have found steady success, Bowerbirds had more time and better resources to create it. As a result ‘The Clearing’ is a bigger record, with bolder sounds, a broader scope, and more complex songs. If you’ve yet to hear it let me know and I’ll share a digital link this morning.”
