Laura Marling has completed writing her fourth studio album and hopes to have it released ‘in about six months’, the singer-songwriter has revealed.
Marling has been working on the follow-up to 2011′s ‘A Creature I Don’t Know‘ with Kings Of Leon cohort Ethan Johns, and told The Owl she finished writing the album last month.
“I finished writing a new album about a month ago, at the moment I’m in and out of the studio working with Ethan Johns,” she said. “It will probably be released in about six months.”
Since releasing her debut album ‘Alas I Cannot Swim‘ in 2008, Laura Marling has become of the most prolific, and acclaimed, songwriters of recent years, and has already bagged two Mercury Music Prize nominations and the 2011 Brit Award for Best Female.
She is currently on tour in North America, and is due to return to the UK for a one-off show at London’s Royal Albert Hall on July 7th, with an appearance at this year’s Latitude festival also scheduled for next month.Just Published:
