Krautrock pioneers Can top this week’s UK Record Store Chart

A box set compilation of unreleased studio and live recordings from 1968 to 1977 by the experimental German rock band Can has topped this week’s UK Record Store Chart, which is compiled entirely by sales registered at the UK’s independent record stores.

The Lost Tapes‘ knocks last week’s number one, ‘In Our Heads‘ to #2, while Bobby Womack‘s ‘The Bravest Man In The Universe‘ climbs one place to #4.

Elsewhere, the Smashing Pumpkins have landed at number 7 with their long-awaited ‘Oceania‘ LP, and Beach House have jumped eight places to chart this week at #6.
