Mumford & Sons will invite a selection of guest musicians to join them at their forthcoming European festival appearances after frontman Marcus Mumford broke his hand last weekend.

The injury to their singer forced Mumford & Sons to cancel scheduled performances at the Northside Festival in Denmark and Hultsfred Festival in Sweden recently, and the band have now announced the assistance of a guest drummer and guitarist to enable them to complete their remaining festival commitments.

“The band have been working every minute they can over this past week with two old tour friends, Harry Cargill on guitar and Chris Maas on drums, to rehearse a set that will be sonically as close as possible to what you expect from a Mumford & Sons gig,” a statement on their official website reads.

The musicians will appear at Germany’s Southside and Hurricane festivals on June 22nd and 23rd, the Rock-A-Field event in Luxembourg on the 24th, as well as further spots at festivals including Poland’s Open’er on July 7th and BBK in Spain July 13th.

In addition, fans who attended the Hultsfred festival will be able to visit the Peace and Love event in Borlänge, Sweden on June 28th for free. More information can be found at Mumfordandsons.com.
