Experimental rock band Animal Collective have announced further shows for UK and Ireland to take place later this year.
After recently announcing a gig at the London Roundhouse on November 4th, band members Avey Tare, Panda Bear, Geologist and Deakin have now unveiled three additional shows for that month, and will visit Vicar Street in Dublin on November 6th, before moving across the Irish Sea for stops at the ABC in Glasgow on November 7th and Manchester’s Warehouse Project concert series a day later.
The dates are confirmed as Animal Collective prepare to release the new studio album ‘Centipede Hz.‘ – their first since 2009’s ‘Merriweather Post Pavilion‘ – on September 3rd. The album is set to be preceded by a standalone, double A-side single entitled ‘Honeycomb/Gotham‘ on June 26th. Much of the record was previewed during Animal Collective’s 2011 touring schedule.
