Soundgarden have debuted the video for their track ‘Live To Rise‘ online, which can be viewed below.
The track marks the first taste of new material from the band since frontman Chris Cornell announced their return in January 2010, and will form a part of the soundtrack to the 2012 Avengers movie, footage of which is interspersed into their performance on the promo.
Soundgarden are booked for a series of festival appearances this summer as they continue work on a new album, including a headline performance on the opening night of this year’s Hard Rock Calling, where they will top the bill along side legendary songwriters Bruce Springsteen and Paul Simon.
Hard Rock Calling will take place at London’s Hyde Park between July 13th-15th, with Bruce Springsteen immediately following Soundgarden on July 14th and Paul Simon closing this year’s festivities on July 15th when he airs ‘Graceland‘ to mark the 25th anniversary of the classic album’s first UK tour.
