Kasabian‘s Serge Pizzorno showed his talents aren’t just restricted to stadium-filling songwriting last night when he scored a spectacular goal at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium during a charity football match organised in aid of UNICEF.

Pizzorno was appearing for a ‘Rest Of The World’ XI along side various former football players and film stars including Michael Sheen, Edward Norton and Roy Keane, and gave his team the lead in the first half with a great strike which can be viewed via YouTube below.

The celebrity Soccer Aid match had been organised by popstar Robbie Williams on behalf of UNICEF, and saw an England XI also comprising the likes of Kevin Phillips, David Seaman and Teddy Sheringham eventually win the game 3-1.

Pizzorno will now return to his more familiar duties with Kasabian this summer, with the band due to headline the Reading/Leeds festival in August along side The Cure and the Foo Fighters.
