Tom Clarke, frontman of The Enemy, has said he believes the UK produces the world’s best rock bands, after shrugging off the idea that guitar music is on the way out.

“This country has made the best rock n’ roll there is,” he told the Manchester Evening News. “It’s one of our best exports, so if someone thinks they can kill guitar bands, then good luck to them.”

Meanwhile, as The Enemy release their third studio album ‘Streets In The Sky‘ this week, Clarke has praised the impact of producer Joby Ford on the record:

“There were things he thought needed changing, making tighter and so on, and he was telling us. Now I know how to make an album properly, I just want to do it again. We’re a rock band that plays pop songs, and we always have been. I know that now but I couldn’t have described our sound this time last year.”
