Mumford & Sons have added a US leg to their ‘Gentlemen Of The Road’ touring schedule, whose two UK dates will begin on June 2nd at Huddersfield’s Greenhead Park.
The band, who this week revealed their second album will be released in September, have unveiled gigs in Portland on August 4th, Bristol (August 11th), Dixon (August 18th) and Monterey on August 25th when they are due to be joined by the likes of The Maccabees and Gogol Bordello.
“We want to stop off in towns where bands don’t usually tour, and celebrate the local people, food and music,” Mumford & Sons have said of the gigs.
“We’re keen to promote the town’s local businesses, and we’ll be using the local bars and venues for after-show parties, whilst working closely with the local people to get everyone involved in making these shows spectacular. There will be a host of our friends playing too, and the vibe falls somewhere between ‘travelling Victorian circus’ and ‘Victorian travelling circus’. It should be a whole lot of fun.”
