Kings Of Leon, Coldplay amongst UK’s biggest selling singles of the 21st century

Kings Of Leon‘s 2008 commercial breakthrough single ‘Sex On Fire‘ is the ninth biggest selling single of the 21st century to date in the UK, according to figures released today by the Official Chart Company.

In a rundown largely dominated by disposable pop, Kings Of Leon are the only act from the rock world to make the top 20, with ‘Sex On Fire’s follow up single ‘Use Somebody‘ next on the list from the genre at #32.

Elsewhere, Snow Patrol‘s ‘Chasing Cars‘ is at no.38, and Coldplay‘s recent single ‘Paradise‘ is the 55th biggest selling single of the century so far.
