Emeli Sande wins race to UK number one album

Emeli Sande‘s debut album ‘Our Version Of Events‘ has climbed two places to top the UK chart this week, holding off competition from new entries by the likes of The Enemy and Joe Bonamassa.

Bonamassa had been heading for the UK number one after topping the midweek charts, while The Enemy’s Tom Clarke took to Twitter over the weekend urging fans to help a late sales push in a bid to get to the summit.

In the end however, Emeli Sande’s 2012 record has won the race, with Bonamassa one place back. Three other new entries in the top 10 this week come from Tom Jones, fun. and John Mayer, while The Enemy have in the end landed some way off the pace at #9.
