Coldplay launched their UK stadium tour this week (May 29th), performing a career-spanning set at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena.
The band, who released their fifth record ‘Mylo Xyloto‘ last October, opened the gig with the album’s title-track before firm fan favourties such as ‘The Scientist‘, ‘Viva La Vida‘, ‘Yellow‘, ‘God Put A Smile Upon Your Face‘ and ‘Fix You‘ were also given an airing.
Coldplay will now move on to London’s Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club, tomorrow (June 1st) for back-to-back gigs, with the final two dates due at Sunderland’s Stadium Of Light on June 7th, and the Etihad Stadium, formerly known as the City Of Manchester Stadium, on June 9th.
