Biffy Clyro will play a one-off UK gig next month in preparation for a series of festival appearances this summer.

The band will perform the low-key show at Swindon’s Oasis Leisure Centre on June 8th ahead of scheduled appearances at the Download, Rockness and Isle Of Wight festivals over the next few months.

The Scottish trio are expected to preview tracks from their forthcoming double album during their festival performances. The LP follows 2009’s Mercury nominated ‘Only Revolutions‘, and was recently confirmed to be carrying two titles – ‘The Land At The End Of Our Toes‘ and ‘The Sand At The Core Of Our Bones‘.

Earlier this week, Biffy Clyro’s drummer Ben Johnston admitted the band are hoping to win back fans of their earlier material when the double album drops later this year.

“We never think of any target audience when making albums,” he told NME. “We’ve always tried to please ourselves and then hope for the best. When you’re younger you want bands to be just your band. When these bands get more well-known and bigger it’s common to just fade away from them. It’s sad because we don’t want to lose any fans. Hopefully we can get those lost fans back with this album.”
