The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced plans to release a covers EP to celebrate their recent induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, reports Rolling Stone.

The six track EP includes covers of some of the Chili Peppers’ fellow Hall Of Famers, and will comprise their take on the Ramones‘ ‘Havana Affair‘, Iggy and the Stooges‘ ‘Search and Destroy‘, Neil Young‘s ‘Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere‘, David Bowie‘s ‘Suffragette City‘, The Beach Boys‘ ‘I Get Around‘ and Dion and the Belmonts‘ ‘A Teenager In Love‘. While most of the tracks are already available, this will be the first time all six have been released digitally.

The covers EP follows the release of a live EP earlier this month, which was made available as a free download via the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ official website. The EP was recorded during the band’s 2011 European arena tour, and included ‘If You Have To Ask‘ and ‘Dani California‘.
