Public Image Ltd. have unveiled the tracklisting for their comeback album ‘This Is PiL‘.
The release marks the band’s first album of new material since 1992’s ‘That What Is Not‘, and is to be issued through their own PiL Official label on May 28th.
PiL’s frontman John Lydon has previously described the record as ‘coming from the heart and soul’, remarking: “It comes from the heart and the soul. Whether that be electric, acoustic, digital or analogue, that’s still heart and soul. It’s not pop fodder and finely crafted pieces of fluff.”
The release of the album will be preceded by an EP, entitled ‘One Drop‘, which will hit the shelves of independent record shops on April 21st as part of this year’s Record Store Day initiative.
In addition, Public Image Ltd. are due to tour the UK in support of their new album during the course of the summer.
