Patti Smith has announced the full details of her first full UK tour in over five years which will support the new album ‘Banga‘.
Four dates are booked for June, beginning at the Wolverhampton Civic on the 25th, before a larger portion of dates kicks off on September 4th at the Newcastle O2 Academy. A gig north of the border a day later at the Glasgow O2 ABC follows, with a final show due at the London Troxy on September 13th.
Tickets go on general sale from Friday, April 20th.
Patti Smith’s new album is due for release on June 5th. It has recently been preceded by the digital single ‘April Fool‘ and was recorded and produced by Smith and her band. According to reports, the album is set to feature a song in memory of Amy Winehouse entitled ‘This Is The Girl‘.
