Brit Bands Invade US Late Night TV This Week


Leeds’ five-piece, Kaiser Chiefs will be performing their US single “On The Run” on Late Show with David Letterman (* Wednesday, April 11th @ 11:35 PM /10:35 CST) , in support of their newest release, Start the Revolution Without Me.

For this record the band teamed up with producer Tony Visconti (David Bowie, Iggy Pop, T. Rex), Ethan Johns (Kings of Leon, Ray LaMontagne, Emmylou Harris) and Owen Morris (Oasis, The Verve) as well as trying their hand at producing their own tracks with drummer/songwriter, Nick Hodgson at the controls.

British duo The Ting Tings are visiting Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, April 11th ( 12:35 PM /11:35 PM CST) performing “Hit Me Down Sonny” off the bands latest offering Sounds From Nowheresville . Everybody’s indie darlings “Arctic Monkeys” are going to be visiting *Conan* on Thursday, April 12th @ 11 PM /12 CST on TBS The four boys from Sheffield will be bringing some special “R U Mine?” swagger to US television for the very first time with this Conan performance.

When Arctic Monkeys decided to record a brand new song for release around their arena tour with The Black Keys this spring, they couldn’t have guessed it would become such a runaway success. “R U Mine?” has struck a chord around the world; so much so that the video racked up over 3 million hits in just a couple of weeks. The song is now the invigorating finale to their live shows and has become one of their fastest selling singles to date.
