Tim Burgees is to tell the story of his life in music with a new autobiography which will be released next month.

The Charlatans frontman will release the memoirs, unsurprisingly entitled Tellin’ Stories on April 26th and, according to the publishers, will “describe the mad life of a rock star: the dynamics of the band, the creativity and the self-destruction, the sex and the drugs but also the rock ‘n roll.”

The Charlatans are due to tour their ‘Tellin’ Stories‘ album with three UK dates booked for June. Opening up at the Manchester Apollo on June 1st, the band will then move on to London’s Hammersmith Apollo on the 8th and Glasgow Barrowland on the 9th.

Originally released in April 1997, ‘Tellin’ Stories’ marked The Charlatans’ commercial peak, led by the popular UK top ten singles ‘North Country Boy‘, ‘How High‘ and ‘One To Another‘. It is also notable for being the final record to feature the band’s original keyboard player Rob Collins, who was killed in a car accident during the album’s recording.
