Red Hot Chili Peppers invite Jimmy Page to Knebworth gig

Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith has said it would be ‘really cool’ if the band could persuade Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page to join them onstage during their Knebworth gig on June 23rd this year.

Last Thursday (March 15th), the second edition of Live4ever’s Two Finger Salute witnessed barn-storming performances from some of the best, loudest and most diverse acts the 2012 South By Southwest festival had to offer.

Held at ND at 501 Studios, Live4ever’s Two Finger Salute II featured performances from Portmanteaux, PK, Golden State, Scoundrels, Pujol , And So I Watch You From Afar, The Minutes and new additions Cairo Knife Fight, who joined the bill late and quickly became one of the day’s undoubted highlights.

And even if you weren’t lucky enough to be in Austin last week, our friends at VenueOne.com were in attendance filming every riff, drum fill and guitar solo, and you can now watch the concert in full when it is broadcast exclusively on March 26th from 20.00GMT.
