The Cribs have confirmed a May UK tour ahead of an expected album release this year.

The band, who returned to life as a three-piece last year following the departure of Johnny Marr, have been working on the new record in New York, Chicago and London, and have now announced six tour dates which will kick off on May 7th at the Nottingham Rock City.

Stops in London, Bristol, Glasgow and Manchester are also booked, with a final date coming at Eastbourne’s Winter Gardens on May 13th.

Speaking last month, The Cribs’ Ryan Jarman admitted that while the trio’s time with Johnny Marr had been something ‘he really enjoyed’, he is now glad to be back to their more familiar dynamic.

“Working with Johnny was something I really enjoyed, but what it’s made me realise is that this is the way it’s meant to be,” Jarman told NME. “I liked the last record and it was a progression, but there was something lost in translation. It was something indefinable – but it’s back.”
