Elbow and Paul Weller are to headline this summer’s Live From Jodrell Bank event, which is held in the shadow of the giant Lovell Telescope in Cheshire.

The weekend-long festivities, taking place this year on June 23rd and 24th, will contain a host of hands-on science workshops, lectures and experiments for ticket holders, with Elbow headlining the first night and Weller the following evening.

Located 20 miles outside of Manchester, the Lovell telescope is the third largest in the world, and has become a well known feature of the area since it first began operations in 1957.

To celebrate the release of his new album ‘Sonik Kicks‘ next month, Weller will perform a five-night residency at the Camden Roundhouse in London from 18th–22nd March. He will also be in London earlier that month as part of the celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of BBC 6Music, when the former Jam and Style Council frontman will partake in the Lauren Live at Maida Vale sessions on Tuesday, March 13th.
