Jack White, Chris Cornell, The Flaming Lips set for Hangout Music Fest

jackwhiteJack White will showcase his new solo material with an appearance at the 2012 Hangout Music festival, which will take place in Alabama next May.

White will perform at the event along side the likes of Wilco, Chris Cornell, and The Flaming Lips, who will be once again airing their vision of Pink Floyd‘s classic LP ‘Dark Side Of The Moon‘.

Jack White unveiled his new solo album, ‘Blunderbuss‘, late last month, explaining the record contains tracks which he believes could ‘only be presented under my name’.

“‘Blunderbuss’ is an album I couldn’t have released until now,” he said. “I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas.

This year’s Hangout Music Fest will take place between May 18th-20th in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
