Damon Albarn, Flea’s Rocketjuice and The Moon debut new material

Rocketjuice And The Moon, the new project being led by Damon Albarn and Red Hot Chili Peppers bass player Flea, have unveiled the first track which will feature on the self-titled debut album.

The band, which also consists of veteran drummer Tony Allen, who has previously worked with Albarn as part of The Good, The Band & The Queen venture a few years back, are streaming the track ‘Hey Shooter‘ online via Soundcloud, which can be listened to below.

The debut record, which will comprise 18 tracks, has been recorded in Damon Albarn’s London studios and will be released on March 26th. It features guest contributions from Malian singer Fatoumata Diawara, Ghanian rapper M. anifest and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.

Rocketjuice and The Moon’s live debut came in October last year when the trio played a show at the Barbican in London.
