Sheffield band the Arctic Monkeys will contribute a remix of ‘That Dangerous Age‘ when Paul Weller‘s new single is released next month.
The Arctics’ drummer Matt Helders will work on the track which is to be made available on the 7″ and download formats of the single, with other alternate versions also set for inclusion.
“There was an inference that I was going through a mid-life crises,” Paul Weller has said of the single, due for release on March 11th. “Which I found really amusing: the clichéd notion of it. And that was the impetus for (the song) even though it isn’t really about that. It’s a bit tongue in cheek, too. I guess it’s also about how society views people of a certain age. For me, does it really matter what age you are? It’s what up there in your soul that matters.”
Weller’s new album, ‘Sonik Kicks’, is due for release on March 19th.
