Mystery illness delaying AC/DC album, claims Brian Johnson

acdcAC/DC frontman Brian Johnson has told a US radio show the recording of the band’s new album has been delayed due to an unspecified illness in the band, reports music-news.

“One of the boys is a little sick and I can’t say anything, but he’s getting better,” Johnson apparently told The Cowhead Show. “He’s doing wonderful. Full recovery fully expected.”

While on the recording process itself, Johnson spoke of the joy he experiences when the group reconvene together in a studio. “It’s a wonderful thing when we get in a room,” he remarked. “Whenever the boys get back together, I get all excited.”

“The boys, after a while, pick the guitars up, Phil will make his way to the drums, Cliff will pull his bass out and then all of a sudden this noise comes out and I sit there with just this big old grin on my face.”

AC/DC’s last studio album to date is the 2008 effort ‘Black Ice‘.
