Morning Parade: ‘Mainstream acts are too squeaky clean’

Essex-based five piece Morning Parade have said mainstream acts are ‘too concerned with what they say’, and have insisted the traditional spirit of rock n roll is alive and well.

“I think the spirit is still there, we toured last year with The Wombats, and they’ve definitely still got it,” lead singer Steve Sparrow told Gigwise. “Although I do think that the old cliché that everybody is always off their face, is a bit of a myth. When you’re on tour though, there are still whole weeks that are just a blur, the spirit is there,”

“The spotlight used to be on the rock n roll bands, now the attention has drifted towards the mainstream acts,” guitarist Chad Thomas added. “The thing is with those artists is that they are too concerned about what they say, and being squeaky clean.”

Morning Parade are due to release their debut album on March 5th this year.
