Coldplay and Rihanna will perform together at next month’s Grammy Awards, the pop superstar has revealed on Twitter.

Rihanna makes a guest appearance on the ‘Mylo Xyloto‘ track ‘Princess Of China‘, and has now said the song will be aired live by the acts at the 54th Grammys in February.

“My friends @ColdPlay and I will be sharing the stage for a performance at this years Annual Grammy Awards!” she wrote, adding shortly after: “WE reached 2BILLION views on @youtube !!! THANK U!!! I’m in a great mood, and I got some GREAT NEWS!!! PRINCESS OF CHINA #GRAMMYS2012.”

Coldplay, along with the likes of Radiohead and Foo Fighters, have received numerous nominations in the rock categories for this year’s Grammy Awards, though only Foo Fighters have landed a nod in the coveted Album Of The Year section for their hit record ‘Wasting Light‘.

The US band face competition from Adele, Bruno Mars, Rihanna and Lady Gaga for the marquee gong.
