Arcade Fire have today released both a website and two videos for the sublime ‘Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)‘ – one of the many highlights from last year’s ‘The Suburbs‘.

Along with the ‘traditional’ promo which can be viewed below, the second, interactive video has been hosted on the new website, and will allow fans to control the movements of the characters. In a trailer posted for the interactive version, the band’s frontman Win Butler can be heard saying:

“Oh hey guys, it’s us, Arcade Fire, we just played our last show and we’re dancing in the streets. But on a serious note, I know it’s kind of late but we finally finished a video for ‘Sprawl II’ and here it is. ‘Sprawl II,’ hope you guys like it, but to make it work you kind of have to dance in front of your computer thing to make the thing work.”

After its release in August 2010, ‘The Suburbs’ went on to become one of the most successful rock releases of recent years, and has landed numerous accolades including the Brit for Best International Album and the Grammy Award for Best Album.
