Sir Paul McCartney was joined onstage by Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood last night (December 5th), during his sole London show of 2011.
Sir Paul invited Wood to join him for a run through of The Beatles‘ 1969 number one single ‘Get Back‘; a highlight of a three-hour long set which covered the various chapters of McCartney’s long career.
Opening up with another Beatles classic, ‘Hello Goodbye‘, McCartney also aired a clutch of Wings favourites such as ‘Nineteen Hundred And Eighty-Five‘ and ‘Live And Let Die‘, before ending with the brilliant ‘Abbey Road‘ medley ‘Golden Slumbers’/’Carry That Weight’/’The End‘.
Paul McCartney will now move on to the MEN Arena on December 19th, with a hometown show at the Liverpool Echo Arena following on December 20th.
