US rock heavyweights Pearl Jam have been unveiled as the third and final headliners for the 2012 Isle Of Wight festival.
Eddie Vedder and co will join the previously announced Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty at the three-day event, and complete organiser John Giddings’ so-called ‘American Trilogy’ of acts.
The headline appearance will form part of a wider European tour for Pearl Jam, who will top the bill at Isle Of Wight on Saturday, June 23rd. The news marks another impressive booking for the festival, who landed a real coup earlier this week by securing Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers for their first ever UK festival appearance.
Another stand-out line up for Isle Of Wight continues to grow, with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds set for what is likely to be their first UK festival appearance when they play immediately before Bruce Springsteen, while Elbow and Biffy Clyro have also been confirmed for next year.
