Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was apparently forced to eject an intruder from his garden recently after the man entered his property singing his band’s songs.

Martin was quoted in the Daily Mirror newspaper this week as saying he “…had a guy the other day who climbed over the gate of our house and started singing Coldplay songs to his friends on the street.”

Later, Martin joked that he had to tell the man he was singing the songs incorrectly, before asking him to leave. “‘Listen, you’re just not doing that right’,” he told the trespasser. “He politely left. It was bordering on intrusion. Still, it’s nice that people like the songs.”

Coldplay are due to head out on a massive outdoor UK tour next year in support of the 2011 album ‘Mylo Xyloto‘. The dates will include stops at the Emirates Stadium in London and the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City football club.
