Beady Eye, the band formed by Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock following the break up of Oasis in 2009, have been named as one of the hardest working bands of 2011 by PRS.

When promoting their debut album ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding‘ earlier this year, the band spoke of their collective desire to jump straight back into the music world after their previous supergroup had shattered around them, and it now appears that aim has been carried through in emphatic style.

The poll is headed by pop acts JLS, Olly Murs and Take That, with Barney Hooper of PRS For Music commenting:

“Performing live and going on tour are fundamental to any artist and is a great way for them to engage with their fans. Congratulations to both JLS and Olly Murs and all the songwriters who they have worked with to create the music that so many people are enjoying.”

After their hectic schedule in 2011, Beady Eye are expected to spend the majority of the next twelve months in the studio working on a second record.
