Lana Del Rey, whose single ‘Video Games‘ has already achieved significant airplay across Europe over recent months, has been named on MTV‘s annual Brand New For… rundown, which lists nine acts tipped by the network to achieve big things next year.

Damon Albarn and rap legends De La Soul were the surprise guests at a Gorillaz Sound System gig yesterday (December 1st).

The Rapture will play two UK dates in May next year, the band have confirmed today.

The two dates, at the Oxford Academy on May 1st and London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on May 2nd, are part of a wider world tour which will see the band take in shows in South America, Japan, Australia and mainland Europe.

U2 frontman Bono has said he tries to avoid listening back to his band’s songs as his voice annoys him.

Noel Gallagher has confirmed his first UK festival appearance as a solo artist.

The former Oasis songwriter will take his High Flying Birds to next year’s Isle Of Wight festival, where he will perform immediately before Bruce Springsteen on the festival’s main stage on Sunday, 24th June.
