The Stone Roses have officially confirmed their first comeback shows outside of their native Manchester, and will headline next year’s T In The Park and Benicassim festivals.
After their three Manchester Heaton Park gigs sold out in record time last month, the Roses have now revealed they will travel north of the border to Scotland on the weekend of July 6th-8th next year for T In The Park, with Benicassim following shortly after between July 12th-15th.
“We’re really happy to announce The Stone Roses to headline FIB, this is really exciting on all fronts, I’ve had a long history with The Stone Roses since they formed and I’m really looking forward to having them back at FIB to watch, no doubt, an incredible performance,” Benicassim boss Vince Power has commented.
Reports suggest The Stone Roses will announce further UK festival appearances in due course, with V being another event strongly tipped to host the reformed band next summer.
