US megastar Madonna is set to make her live comeback at next year’s Isle Of Wight festival, reports Gigwise.

The website claims to have an ‘exclusive source’ which has provided the news, as the singer is expected to commence touring duties in support of a new album in 2012.

According to recent news sources, Madonna has confirmed a spring release for the record, with a single due in February. It will be her first studio release since 2008’s ‘Hard Candy‘.

Since the Isle Of Wight festival returned in 2002, it has grown to be once again one of the UK’s premiere summer events, and has just announced Bruce Springsteen as its first headliner for next year.

Back in June, Isle Of Wight boasted one of the standout line-ups of the festival season, with Kings Of Leon, Kasabian and Foo Fighters comprising an impressive headlining trio.

Tickets for next year’s event will go onsale from this coming Friday (November 25th) at 9am.
